Patsy Kramer


Minnekota Circuit
Bethel, Sioux Falls, SD

Patsy is an LWMS reporter. She assisted with the 2004 convention in Sioux Falls, and she served on the LWMS Awareness Committee (LAC). She and her LAC members presented the new Ignite initiative at the 2018 convention. She served as spiritual growth woman for the Minnekota Circuit from 2014 to 2018.

She serves on the Care Committee for Called Workers and the Flower Committee and is a choir member. She organizes activities such as a ladies’ coffee hour, bowling, bike rides, and is currently organizing a ladies’ spa day using the LWMS RRR Bible studies. She has attended the School of Outreach with the Bethel team and served as outreach co-coordinator.  She was part of the Bethel and Good Shepherd team, which researched outreach possibilities within Sioux Falls, leading to approval of BHM funds in 2018 for a new start in Brandon, South Dakota.

Patsy works for Sanford Health Human Resources and has been an HR advisor since 2016, serving as a resource to 150+ leaders. She assists leaders with business strategies related to Human Resources.

Jacky Stoll


Lake Superior Circuit
St. Paul, Oconto Falls, Wisconsin

Jacky became hooked on LWMS after attending her first convention. Fueled with excitememt for the organization, she led and facilitated circuit rallies and currently serves as her congregation’s Reporter. She has served several terms on her circuit board in roles ranging from Spiritual Growth Laywoman to President, and currently as Vice President. 

At her congregataion, St. Paul's in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, she participates in numerous church activities and currently serves as Ladies Aid Treasurer. She coordinated her church’s women’s Bible study group and organized a sewing event to send pill bags to CAMM.
Having a heart for missions and a 40-year career in nursing, Jacky Stoll has had the privilege to travel to Peru and Ecuador on medical missions and she traveled to Thailand and Cambodia with Christians Forward Southeast Asia. Jacky and her husband of 38 years have two children and gained a son-in-law during COVID-19. She enjoys sewing, gardening, and snowmobiling. She is happy for this opportunity to serve. All glory to God!

Kris Olson

Vice President

Lincoln Heights, Des Moines, Iowa
Wild Rose Circuit

LWMS: Kris has served as president and vice president for LWMS circuits in Iowa and in Ohio. In 2019, she was a co-chair for the Annual Convention in Des Moines, Iowa.

Church: Kris has served as president, treasurer, and secretary of church women’s groups. While living in Ohio, she was the church secretary at Immanuel Lutheran in Findlay. She has taught Sunday school for many years and is an organist at Lincoln Heights Lutheran in Des Moines. She also helps with the children’s Sunday school  music. She is presently serving as secretary on the stateside committee for the WELS Central Africa Medical Mission. This past summer, Kris and her husband visited Malawi as part of a CAMM public relations tour and subsequently gave a presentation about the trip at her circuit’s fall rally.

Other: Kris lives in Ames, Iowa, with her husband of 49 years, Dale. They have two sons, Chad and Cory. Both sons are married with families, making them grandparents of seven. She worked for Edward Jones as an on-call office assistant before retiring at the end of 2014. She has also worked as an administrative assistant for a printing company, a financial secretary for a church, and a bank teller.


Mary Jo Barnes


Zion, Torrance, California
Golden West Circuit

LWMS: Mary Jo has attended all but two LWMS conventions since1995. She has served almost constantly as the circuit trainer, publicity coordinator, and secretary for the Golden West circuit since that time. She co-chaired the 2002 Annual Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Church: She has held many positions in the church and currently serves as a greeter, choir member, Evangelism Committee member, Mary-Martha vice president, and teen Bible class leader. She received her evangelism certificate from Martin Luther College in 2018. She is the administrator and designer for a daily Bible verse of the day picture that is posted on social media on six different sites, such as the Only the Word page, the WELS Women’s Ministry page, Hearts for Saving Souls on Facebook, the Tell Network, Reddit, and Instagram.

Other:  Mary Jo has been working full time in a hospital since 1974 (until last year when she switched to part-time) as an imaging specialist. She is one of few specialists in the United States that is registered in nearly all forms of ultrasound and is highly respected for her expertise. Mary Jo loves to read mystery books, does various sewing projects, crafts, handiwork, and doing crossword puzzles, especially the New York Times crossword puzzle. 


Rebecca Jungwirth


Paperland Circuit; St. Matthew, Appleton, Wisconsin
Rebecca was a circuit treasurer; she was the treasurer and a member of the registration and worship committees for the 2018 convention. She has attended eight conventions and is a regular attendee at circuit rallies; she has also assisted with hosting circuit rallies.

She prepares weekly worship slides and is the treasurer of the Dorcas Society (LWMS group). She is a member of the choir and the Altar Care Committee and assists with Advent by Candlelight, Christmas for Kids, and other outreach activities. She has served as the head librarian and a school volunteer.

Rebecca is a CPA who has been employed in public accounting for 14 years; she has good computer skills in Microsoft Office programs and QuickBooks. She has public speaking experience and is an active member of a community service organization, having held board positions including president and treasurer. She has assisted with online education for a son with autism. Rebecca has been married for 36 years and has two children; she welcomes the opportunity to use her skills to support missions.


Carol Gibson

Spiritual Growth-Mission Awareness BAM Coordinator

Heartland Circuit
Light of Life Lutheran Church, Greenwood, Indiana

Carol Gibson volunteered to serve as the Worship Chair for the 2021 LWMS Convention in Cincinnati. She has served multiple terms as President, Spiritual Growth Laywoman, and Treasurer for the Missouri Valley Circuit. She co-organized circuit retreats for 20 years. She was the Food Chair for the 1986 LWMS Convention and a Convention Co-chair for the 2010 LWMS Convention, both in St. Louis. 

At her church, Light of Life, a mission congregation in Greenwood, Indiana, she is currently the choir director, the worship and choir accompanist, and a Sunday school teacher. She is a member of the Ladies Aid and the Altar Committee, and has also served on worship, building, and preschool boards. 

Carol was a music teacher for 21 years before she retired, and she sings in a community choir. She and her husband have two children and two grandchildren.

Wendy Wright

Communications Coordinator

Mid American Circuit
The Vine, Joplin, Missouri

Wendy formerly served on the Communications Committee from 2011 to 2017. She is currently serving as LWMS reporter for her congregation as well as Spiritual Growth Laywoman for the Mid-America Circuit.

Wendy is a member of the core group that was instrumental in bringing a mission church to Joplin, Missouri—The Vine Lutheran Church. She serves on the Branding (Marketing) Team which developed a logo, tagline, and a variety of promotional materials for the new mission. She also serves as the Youth Ministry Team Lead, teaching children in the early childhood class for Wednesdays in the Word Family Bible Study, developing seasonal family fun programs/activities, and assisting with Mornings With Mommy.

She is a self-employed writer, editor, and graphic designer, who enjoys volunteering in her community. She recently became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Jasper County, Missouri. Her husband and she currently serve a family of 8 children—ages 9 months to 14 years old. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for a local independent, college preparatory PK-12 grade school.

Wendy is blessed to be married to her husband, Tom, for nearly 27 years and they have two sons living in Texas— Noah, who works in Dallas, and Aaron, who attends college in San Antonio.


Andrew Schroer

Pastoral Advisor

Texas Gulf Coast Circuit
Redeemer Lutheran Church, Edna, Texas

Church: Pastor Schroer has been a pastor for over 20 years, serving mission congregations in Mexico, Miami, and currently in Edna, Texas. He speaks Spanish (and a little Portuguese) and currently serves a bilingual, multicultural congregation. 

Other: His wife, Clariza, is from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. They have two children, Isabel (16) and Andy (12). He enjoys writing and blogging. He writes a syndicated devotional column, which runs weekly in a handful of newspapers in Texas. Pastor Schroer’s latest book, 364 Days of Devotion, will be coming out in the fall of 2021. He also helps create content for our synod’s online Spanish outreach, Academia Cristo. He loves music and is a huge sports fan. He says he is grateful for the privilege of being considered for this position.
