What are some funny stories you have with your family? When you told them to friends did they laugh as hard as you? Maybe not. I will share one of my funny stories with you. Last year about this time my mom sent a group family text saying something like,“Santa may not have time to do much shopping this year.” I had just been shopping that day so I lined up the six pairs of shoes I bought, took a picture, and said, “Who has time to wait for Santa?” My sisters let me know they laughed out loud by sending me a laughing emoji. I’m not sure everyone loves our family humor or my shoe addiction, but I do.

This Christmas we’ll hear a story that we hear every Christmas. It’s not funny but joyous. “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11). Be sure to tell your friends about Jesus this Christmas and invite them to a Christmas service. I recently heard a statistic that 86% of friends when personally invited to a Christmas Eve service will say, “Yes.” Everyone has funny family stories, but not everyone knows the Savior of the world. “When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them” (Luke 2:17). Who will you invite this year to hear the story of Jesus the Savior?
