Closing Service - Sunday
As always, no one looks forward to the closing service because it signifies the end of the convention. The worship service was edifying reminding us that we are all prisoners of our own sin-filled body, a sort of a demon possession per se. We do the things we don’t want to do and fail to do the things we should. Praise the Lord that “Our God Reigns” having conquered Satan so one day we will all be living with him in his kingdom. The installation of the newly elected officers followed the worship service and then the traditional presentation of the flags. And as expected, when the gavel hits the podium, signifying the end, one cannot help but be a bit melancholy that it is over but then throughout the area, one repeatedly hears, “see you next year in La Crosse!” so there is also anticipation of the next one which will be our 50th Annual LWMS Convention. See you next year in La Crosse!
